Team Leader – Goulburn Flood Recovery Service

Full Time – Fixed Term 12 months (with the possibility of extension)

Goulburn Flood Recovery Services (GFRS) is a partnersip between a range of community services agencies across the region to provide outreach and relief support to those who have been impacted by the 2022 floods in the Goulburn region.

The Team Leader will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and administration of a team of recovery support workers and will ensure holistic strengths based approach is used when supporting individuals and families.

Qualifications to undertake this role include at a minimum a Diploma of Community Services (Bachelor of Social Work preferred) and leadership experience.

The salary range for this position, dependant on qualifications and experience ranges from $105,985 to $110,417.

Team Leader – Family Programs

Full Time – Ongoing

Shepparton

Child and Family Services works with families where there are children up to 18 years of age. The program aims to
enhance family, child, and young people’s health and well-being, to help prevent child abuse and neglect and to
support the family through major life transitions and times of difficulties. We utilise a strength-based approach in
supporting families to achieve their goals and work in alignment with the best interest’s framework.

The Team Leader will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and administration of a team of Child and Family
Practitioners and will ensure a child focused/strengths based approach is used when supporting families. The role
will contribute to the overall services offered by FamilyCare and will contribute to the improvement and ongoing
provision of quality family support services delivered through FamilyCare.

Qualifications required to undertake this role include a Bachelor of Social Work or other tertiary qualification relevant to social welfare practice and leadership experience.

Carer Support Coordinator

This Carer Support Services assist people who provide unpaid care and support to a family member or friend in the community that is frail aged or has dementia, a disability, mental illness, terminal illness or a chronic health condition. The Carer Support Coordinator  will provide assessment, planning and coordination of supports and referrals. The successful person will require and understanding of the issues related to the caring role and experience or knowledge related to the provision of care.

Tertiary qualifications in either Disability, Social Work, Health, Welfare or Community Services are required.

The salary range for this position depends on qualifications and experience from $71,428 to ,$84,360

Carer Coach

The Carer Coach role is responsible for the coordination, development, implementation and ongoing delivery of the Facilitated Coaching Program that is part of the Carer Gateway Service. The Facilitated Coaching service is a short term psychosocial support which aims to increase the capacity and capabilities of carers. It is a non-therapeutic approach and is not a crisis intervention. The service supports carers by providing them with the skills to identify their own needs and develop strategies to improve their caring situation and overall wellbeing. 

This position requires someone with Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, community Services or Welfare, Mental Health or equivalent discipline or experience. Knowledge of the community care sector and service systems is a benefit. Demonstrated experience working with clients in a respectful way, along with the capacity to conduct thorough, person-centred assessments and plans is required.

The salary range for this position depends on qualifications and experience from $71,428 to ,$84,360

Response Practitioner – Family Preservation and Reunification

Full Time – Ongoing

Shepparton

The Response Practitioner – FPR provides responsive, intensive and sustainable support to children and families where children are at imminent risk of entry to care or where safe and rapid reunification is appropriate. The Response places children and families at the centre of practice to deliver safe, inclusive, quality and effective services coordinated by the right people, in the right place, at the right time according to the unique needs of each child and family.

The Response is funded to include an intensive intervention phase up to 200 hours for each family, followed by up to 40 hours of step-down support.

Qualifications required to undertake this role include a Bachelor of Social Work or other tertiary qualification relevant to social welfare practice and a minimum of two years experience in the sector. The suitable applicant will require a comprehensive understanding of the principals and challenges of supporting vulnerable families and knowledge of the Child Protection issues in relation to children ‘at risk’. Experience engaging with children, young people and families with complex needs along with an adaptability to respond and adjust to the needs of the role are necessary.

The salary range for this position depends on qualifications and experience from $72,884 to $93,759.

Disability Support Worker

IntoRec offers a variety of assisted programs and recreational activities for children and young people with a disability. These programs aim to provide a safe, enjoyable and nurturing environment where children and young people can make friends, participate in fun activities while giving the carers and families a much needed break.

We are seeking casual Disability Support Workers to join our dedicated team in Shepparton.

To be successful in this position you will need the following:

  • experience in working with children/young people or adults with a disability
  • Cert III in Disability or relevant qualifications (or working towards)
  • Be available during school holidays, afternoons and evenings and weekends
