In response to the Report of the Senate Inquiry into ParentsNext, including its trial and subsequent broader rollout, a broad coalition of service providers, human rights bodies, peak bodies, researchers and advocates today calls time on ParentsNext.
Share a long lazy afternoon at The Woolshed with Matthew Evans the Gourmet Farmer, in support of FamilyCare.
Sunday 19 May
11:00am – 12:30pm “The Paddock & The Harvest”
Eat the very best food the region has to offer as you meander through our outdoor spaces featuring pop up food stands, breweries, cideries and wineries. Enjoy gourmet starters, woodfired pizza together with a beer or cider tasting paddle or a glass of wine in a relaxed alfresco setting. Fresh produce is generously donated by local farmers and businesses and prepared by local chefs.
12:30pm – 3:00pm “The Feast”
Move indoors to “The Feast” at the farmhouse table for a 1:00pm start.
Enjoy a Paddock to Plate three course meal prepared by Matthew Evans the Gourmet Farmer, together with Chefs Angela and Anthony from the
Woolshed, with a focus on organic and sustainable farming. The meal will be matched with local wines, beer and cider.
3:00pm – 4:00pm
Coffee, drinks and cheese platters, socialising on the deck.
An ALL-INCLUSIVE dining experience like no other!
Matthew Evans is a chef by trade who is also the host of Gourmet Farmer on SBS. He is an advocate for sustainable seafood and is a strong believer in knowing and trusting what you eat. Fat Pig Farm is an extension of this philosophy, where we do as we preach; growing and rearing as much food as we can for the table. Fat Pig Farm, a 70acre property is located in the beautiful Huon Valley, south of Hobart, where they adopt a paddock to plate concept.

Shepparton has done us proud once again and the generosity from our local community has been overwhelming as reflected by the amount of food and gifts donated. Our thanks go out to all of you who donated to the Baskets of Joy, and to our partners The Greater Shepparton City Council and The Community Fund Goulburn Valley for their valuable support and hard work. Without all of you this would not be possible.
