The Orange Door, Goulburn is now in operation, and we are looking for skilled leaders and practitioners to do this very important work and be part of the exciting reform.

The Goulburn Orange Door Team includes staff employed by local Community Service Organisations together with Family Safety Victoria and DFFH. These organisations include Rumbalara Aboriginal Cooperative, FamilyCare, Primary Care Connect and Nexus Primary Health working collaboratively to provide and deliver services for The Orange Door.

Orange Door (Family Violence) – Child and Family Practitioners and

Senior Child and Family Practitioners

Full time – ongoing

The Goulburn Support and Safety Hub (The Orange Door) is an intake, triage and assessment service for child and family and family violence services in our region. We are currently looking for experienced practitioners.

The Child Wellbeing Team provides a specialist focus within the The Orange Door on the wellbeing and development of children, young people and their families through:

  • Actively focusing on the best interests of children and young people at all times;
  • Assessments that include parents/carers and the whole family;
  • Working with men as fathers/partners;
  • Interventions that consider children and young people as individuals in their own right, and take into consideration their opinions and wishes;
  • Early help for children, parents and families to support wellbeing, stability, development and safety;
  • Providing a point of contact for secondary consultation, advice and information.

Salary ranges from $78,000 to $84,000 and for a Senior Practitioner ranges from $89,000 to $97,000 dependent on qualifications and experience. Applicants will need to address the Senior Practitioner selection criteria in addition to the Child and Family Practitioner if experienced and looking for a senior role. This role is subject to the mandatory minimum qualifications policy (Recommendation 209 of the Royal Commission into Family Violence). Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent qualification, or, be working towards meeting this requirement.
