The Reunification program aims to support the process of rebuilding relationships between family members. The successful re-establishment of emotional and physical space for the child requires careful planning and preparation with the family.
All children who are eligible for reunification with their families fall into one of the two following categories:
Children, under the age of 18, who have been placed out-of-home for a period of three weeks to three months.
Children, under the age of 18, who have already been placed out-of-home for protective reasons on a short-term basis, e.g. three days. These referrals are made prior to the time the child or young person is returning home with a view to support them being able to remain at home.
